How about having a day where we as an industry divert our PR attentions for just one day towards raising the importance of IT in the eyes of business and government leaders?

The inaugural event might involve powering down the data centre for a couple of hours. It would certainly gain the attention of those we are looking to influence.

It would also highlight the industry’s endeavours to be greener. And best of all it would reinforce our commitment to helping the CFO with his cost management ‘initiatives’.
