In the C-Suite: Synthetic Chaos

The interconnectedness of the world is leading to significant perturbations on one side of the planet caused by small events on the other. Think of a butterfly making a video conference call in Vietnam to a very surprised collection of executives in the US.

Thus IT has created the perfect for conditions for market volatility and chaos.

So given that chaos will increasingly be the norm then those that try to fight it will increasingly fail.  And those that try to create it will increasingly win. Thus I encourage you to build synthetic chaos into your business plan.
