What is Organisational design?

Organisational design is the intentional arrangement of an organisation's structures, governance, roles, processes, technologies and culture to enable it to fulfil its purpose and adapt effectively to change.

In traditional organisations, organisational design is often viewed as an HR responsibility. In an intelligent organisation, design becomes a shared responsibility.

Leadership provides the guiding principles and governance, while those closest to the work continuously evolve the organisation through local adaptation and learning.
