Who is Peter Drucker?

Peter Drucker was an Austrian-American management consultant, educator and author who profoundly influenced modern management thinking. Among his many contributions was coining the term knowledge worker, recognising that organisational success increasingly depended on people's knowledge, expertise and judgement rather than their ability to follow prescribed processes.

More than half a century ago, Drucker argued that organisations should value and develop the cognitive potential of their people. He also recognised that organisations do not exist in isolation. Businesses have responsibilities to customers, employees and society, and long-term success depends on creating value beyond the pursuit of profit alone.

Intelligent organisations embrace Peter Drucker’s philosophy.
