What is Exteroception?
Exteroception is the ability of an organisation to perceive its external environment. Intelligent organisations continuously acquire information about customers, competitors, markets, technologies, regulation and society. This provides the raw signals from which the organisation constructs its understanding of reality and makes decisions.
Increasing disruption causes the external environment to change in real-time. Thus exteroception is a critical organisational capability.
