What is OODA?

OODA stands for Observe–Orient–Decide–Act. It is a decision cycle developed by the US miliary for operating under uncertainty.

Intelligent organisations embrace this approach. More commonly these steps are referred to as:

  • Sense

  • Make sense

  • Decide

  • Act.

Because we believe sense making is really part of the decision-making step, our preference is for Sense – Decide – Act.
