What is Probabilistic?
Probabilistic is a term that characterises uncertainty, where outcomes can only be expressed in terms of their likelihood rather than with certainty. Intelligent organisations recognise that many decisions are inherently probabilistic and continually update their understanding as new evidence emerges.
This was of thinking is at odds with traditional organisational thinking, which is much more deterministic.
Intelligent organisations are much more comfortable dealing in likelihoods rather than certainty, which is just as well given how the world is becoming more unpredictable.
