What is orchestration?

Orchestration is the coordination of multiple actors, activities and resources so that they work together towards a desired outcome. Rather than controlling every action centrally, orchestration establishes the conditions, connections and direction that enable distributed participants to contribute effectively.


Within an intelligent organisation, orchestration replaces rigid command and control with dynamic coordination. Leaders orchestrate people, AI, technology and ecosystem participants, aligning their capabilities whilst allowing them sufficient autonomy to sense, decide and act. Effective orchestration enables the organisation to remain coherent without sacrificing adaptiveness.
